You can never guess what my friend showed… Yep, another one of those ripped off cellphone or smart phone, this time its the BlackBerry Curve 8900.
At first glance you will think it’s the real thing, the form factor, OS, buttons and the apps. But when you take a closer look, you will notice the difference on the finishing on the buttons of the qwerty keypad and what really gave away the phone is the logo at the back and the screen resolution, which the real thing has a much crispier image than this one. You will also see the “TV” symbol at above the camera which I’m betting not a 3.2 MP camera.
What’s amazing about this phone is that it can run java apps and has the social network sites apps like Friendster, Twitter, Facebook and Bebo, it even has the opera mini browser which can actually access web sites and can connect to wifi connect. Like any other china/fake phones they all support dual-sim and you can even watch TV of local channels using the built-in antenna. And they got their unit at GreenHills for only Php 4,000 a piece but if you buy 2 or more units they can even slash 500 of the retail price!!!
You can checkout the rest of the pictures.
It’s just a waste that people try to copy establish brand rather than just use their talents and knowledge to create their own brand name. Just imagine this kind of phone running Android?
