For Linix users, Ubuntu; one of the popular Linux desktop distributions just released their latest version of Linux; the Ubuntu 10.04 LTS Desktop Edition. The Ubuntu 10.04 LTS Desktop Edition includes 3 years support via free security and maintenance updates.

The Ubuntu 10.04 LTS Desktop Edition feature integration of social networking sites and online services like Ubuntu One and Ubuntu One Music Store.

Features of 10.04 LTS:

  • Boot speed: From the name itself, allows you to perform fast boot up.
  • Social Network Integrationt: Provide easy access to social networking sites like Facebook, Digg, Twitter, Identi.ca and more via the “Me menu”.
  • Ubuntu One: Online storage access from ubuntu, that offers 2 GB storage for free, and 50 GB for $10 per month.
  • Ubuntu One Music Store: Ubuntu’s Online Music store within the Rhythmbox Music Player.
  • Ubuntu Software Centre 2.0: Apps Store from Ubuntu and track the software once it’s installed.
  • Ubuntu 10.04 Netbook Edition (UNE): This is the Netbook version of Ubuntu 10.04 LTS Desktop.
