Changeable background image at Google homepage

Written by | Tech

Once again Google made some tweaks on their crown jewel the “Google Search HomePage“. Early May, Google first made some major changes on the Search result of the Google Search. I even created an entry about the changes that Google made with the new Search Results.

Now fast forward to June 2, 2010; Google recently added another feature to the Google Search Homepage. You can now customize your Google Search Homepage, either by allowing you to use a favorite photo or image to the background of the Google homepage. It can either be an image on your computer, images that you uploaded to your Picasa Web Album, Public gallery by Picasa or Editor’s choice.

To change the background, you will need to login to your gmail.com account or Google account. Then click on the “Change background image” link that you will see at the lower left corner of the Google Search Homepage. Then just select the image that you want to use as your background and you have a “Google search more your own”.

And if you’re nostalgic and want to have the good ol simple Google Homepage, then just click on the “Remove background image” link.
