Facebook “Dislike” button

Written by | Tech

I bet you really like to have that “Dislike” button on Facebook. Unfortunately the “Dislike’ button is nothing but a scam, a survey scam that is.

The scam starts with a infected account, the status will have the line “I just got the Dislike button, so now I can dislike all of your dumb posts lol!!” With the Bit.ly link at the end. So when you click on the link, it will give the rogue Facebook application permission to access your profile, posting spam messages from your account and asking you to complete an online survey (which makes money for the scammers) before ultimately pointing you to a Firefox browser add-on for a Facebook dislike button developed by FaceMod.

I guess it’s about time Facebook create a real and legit Dislike button. So we can starts disliking people, messages, pictures, videos and may be Facebook itself. 🙂

By the way, Facebook Security has a post about the Dislike button as well.
