Nikon unveil Nikon D3100 with HD capturing

Nikon (Japan) revealed last August 19, 2010, the new Nikon D3100, an entry level Nikon DX-format digital-SLR camera. An upgrade of the Nikon D3000 another entry level DSLR. The D3100 comes with EXPEED 2, a new CMOS image sensor and a new image-processing engine for HD video capturing.

According to Nikon, the EXPEED 2 engine enables the camera to capture of high-definition images exhibiting superior image quality with detailed renderina and rich tones.

With the release of Nikon D3100, Nikon also introduced a new kits lens the AF-S DX NIKKOR 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6G VR which will be included in with the D3100 Body. Still the HD features of D3100 remains to be seen if it’s comparable with the Nikon D5000 and Canon 550D.
