September 14, 2010, Twitter send out a tweet to all its users about the redesigned Twitter.Com. The developers at Twitter HQ created a new layout that will allow us to view all the popular features of twitter on one screen.
On the new layout, is divided into 2 pane. On the left pane is a unified view where we can easily view mentions, retweets, searches, and lists above the timeline. While on n the right side, you’ll see the popular features like whom you recently followed and who recently followed you, favorites, and Trending Topics.
They (twitter) also made is easier for us to share multi-media from Dailybooth, DeviantArt, Etsy, Flickr, Justin.TV, Kickstarter, Kiva, Photozou, Plixi, Twitgoo, TwitPic, Twitvid, USTREAM, Vimeo, Yfrog, and YouTube.
New features of the new Twitter.com are the related content and mini-profiles. The new Twitter.com will be rolled out as a preview to users, so that they can have a feel of the new Twitter.com and they can still switch back and forth to the classic twitter.com. All twitter user will eventually get to use the new Twitter.com once the roll-out is complete.
As of this time, I still have the classic twitter layout and still have not seen the new layout of the new Twitter.com. But it looks like people at twitter wants people to use twitter.com as their primary desitination when sending out tweets and not use the desktop and mobile apps for tweeting.
