Written by | Apple

Looks like Apple silently opens it Mac App Store while the CES 2011 is currently taking place in Las Vegas. The Mac App Store which officially opened Jan 6, 2011, is available for Mac owners using Mac OS X Snow Leopard.

The Mac App Store offers apps which are different from the Apps Store for iOS Devices if you are a fan of buying and downloading apps for your iPhone, iPod and iPads, the Apps from Mac App store can cost as low as $4.99 like the Flight Control HD to $29.99 like the SketchBook Pro by AutoDesk and downloads size can be large as 683 MB, like the iPhoto.

Apple is hoping that the Mac App Store can help curb software piracy, just like what it did with the music industry via the iTunes. Have you purchased an App already? Tell us what you think about the Mac App Store by shooting us a comment below.
