Microsoft is about to kill another product and unlike the quick death of KIN last July 2010, Microsoft will giving this one a long and painful death.
Microsoft has announced that they’ll be phasing the Zune Player and will no longer release any new model of Zune but they will continue the video and music service; the Zune Marketplace to still provide service to the Xbox Gaming Console and Windows Phone 7.
This could be a move by Microsoft to accept defeat in the hands of Apple (iPod). Two Zune Model are still available in case you still want to get one, the 16 GB model for $170 and the 32 GB model which costs $200 and much lower than their ipod counterpart.
