I just had my Blackberry Torch 9800 yesterday. I already have a Blackberry Curve 8520, but the rubber sidings are already cracked, chipped off and revealing some metal parts, which I believe should not be exposed.
The BB Torch have both the BB QWERTY keypad and touchscreen for inputs. So if you want something new to your BlackBerry, then you use the world famous BB QWERTY keypad and if you are more comfortable with the touch screen function, then you always use it’s 3.2 multi-touch screen. I opted to use the keypad function, since I more comfortable with it because of my familiarity with Blackberry Curve 8520.
The 3.2″ screen is wide enough for me, specially if you compare it the screen of my old Blackberry Curve 8520 and its comfortable to browse net, so you do not need to zoom in to view the contents. Audio quality is superb as well. You can even pair your device to your laptop via bluetooth and use the laptop’s speakers as your sound system. I also like that your contacts will be integrated with your facebook account, so you will see that each of your contacts will have their picture based on their Facebook profile picture.
The Blackberry Torch 9800 has a 5 MP camera that is equip with auto focus (2x zoom), face detection, image stabilization and has scene modes for high-quality images. I’m don’t BB Messenger that much since not all of my friends are using BlackBerry but BB Messenger is to my opinion is one of the key features/service of a Blackberry.
Blackberry Torch 9800 has a shiny silver and rubber lining, which tends to cracks after sometime, specially if you’re not taking care of it and do not use leather-case or a silicon casing, which is what happened to my Blackberry Curve 8520. Blackberry Torch 9800 runs BlackBerry OS 6.0, which I find the UI user-friendly and if you’re first time owner of Blackberry the learning curve will probably be within an hours to a day, depending on how much you tinker with it.
I got my Blackberry Torch 9800 for Php27,900.00 at Hello Store in Megamall. For more info about Blackberry Torch, just click here.
