In the hopes to boost it’s digital strategy, Warner Bros. Home Entertainment Group has acquired Flixster, the parent company of Rotten Tomatoes. Rotten Tomatoes was first bought by Flixster from News Corp. and now both company will be under the wings of Warner Bros. Home Entertainment Group.
The value of the transaction is yet to be disclosed but Flixster reported value was somewhere between $60 million and $90 million.
I guess they need to acquire Flixster (and Rotten Tomatoes) since AOL is no longer under TimeWarner.
