Written by | Apple, Gadgets

Just in time for school, Merriam-Webster just release an enhanced version of it’s Merriam-Webster Dictionary for iPhone App and include a few new tricks for iPad users. A good reference, education, and vocabulary building tools and it’s not just for students.

I installed the app on my ipad and test out some of it’s features and I love the “voice search” feature were you can just speak the word that you are looking for and the app will automatically look for the words that you just spoken.

Aside from the intuitive and user-friendly UI, here are some other features of the Merriam-Webster Dictonary HD:
– Voice Search
– Synonyms & Antonyms
– Example Sentences
– Audio Pronunciations
– Word of the Day
– Scrolling Index (NEW for iPad users)
– Recent History

The Merriam-Webster Dictonary HD is free but ad supported. But the ads are displayed in an area where you will not even notice them. You can download the add here.
