Upgraded Yahoo! Mail Removed the “Beta” now official

Written by | Internet, Tech

Yahoo announced that it will be removing the beta tag on the new Yahoo Mail and will gradually roll out to its 284-million users worldwide via its Yahoo Mail blog.

The “new” and “improved” Yahoo Mail will have a new UI, social integration, faster loading and improved spam filter features. It was announced last September 16, 2010, then Yahoo launched the public beta on October 26, 2010, at that time it was still called Yahoo Mail beta (codename “minty”).

With this upgrade Yahoo hopes to reclaim the title “King of the WebMail Hill” from Google’s Gmail. I checked my yahoo account and it is still in “beta” and users in the other region like the Philippines may need to wait until the roll-out is complete. Have you been using the Yahoo! Mail Beta? What are you take on the new and revamped Yahoo mail?
