Activision Blizzard CEO to buy MySpace!

Written by | Gaming, Social Media, Tech

Talk about wanting your own personal web site and this on really tops them all. Activision Blizzard CEO Bobby Kotick is in the final talks to buy a controlling stake in social network site Myspace. Kotick said that the transaction is purely personal and it has nothing to do with him being the Activision Blizzard CEO.

News Corp have been trying to shed the once bright social network of it’s back and aggressively looking for a buyer. If the Kotick becomes that new owner of MySpace, he can actually use it to increase the marketshare of Activision Blizzard and it’s portfolio.

Activsion Blizzard is one of the leading game developer that created games like WarCraft, StarCraft, Diablo, Call of Duty and more. If they (Kotick and Activsion Blizzard) can convert MySpace to a social media site for gamers, this will certainly be their advantage to other game developers.

I guess we’ll just have to wait and see! 🙂
