Apple announced yesterday that Lion will be available for all Mac users via the Mac App store. Despite it’s large file size, it appears 1 million Mac users still wanted to upgrade to the latest OS. The $29.99 price tag is one of the reason that we can consider, the $29.99 price tag is much lower than the $119.99 price tag of Windows 7 Home Premium, another reason is that they just want to use a better OS. The new Mac OSX Lion will have 250 new features and will introduce popular feature found in iOS like Full screen apps, Resume, Auto Save, Versions, Air-drop, new Safari. Full PR below.
Whatever the reason, Apple is surely smiling with these numbers, even Microsoft was not able to sell 1 million Windows OS in 1 day unless of course we count those computer that are running Windows.
