If you think Lenovo is currently liquidating their tablet business (Ala HP touchpad), well they’re not. They (Lenovo) just announced at the IFA 2011 in Germany a $199.00 tablet that will surely be interesting to see how it matches with (in terms of sales) with Apple’s iPad and HP’s TouchPad.
Here’s the Lenovo IdeaPad Tablet A1 notable features (specs).
Android 2.3 Gingerbread
1GHz single-core Cortex A8 processor
7″ Capacitive display at 1024 x 600 screen res.
8 GB/16 GB/ 32 GB storage expandable via microSD
512 MB RAM
Li ion 3550 mAh battery
The Lenovo IdeaPad Tablet A1 is 10.1mm thick, which just 1.3 mm thicker than the iPad 2. This 7″ Lenovo slab will cost $199.00 for the 8 GB, 16 GB for $249 and $299 for 32 GB. It’s still remain to be seen if Lenovo IdeaPad Tablet A1 can be upgraded to Android 3.0 (Honeycomb), but I’m sure people will always find a work around.
This is not the complete and official specs but I will update it once information is available.
