Are you using the MMDA App?

For a couple of weeks, the MMDA App is among the Top Free Apps on the Apple App Store. So I decided to take a look what the app is all about (even though I’m currently here in Riyadh), I can check the current traffic situation on the different major roads and hi-way in the metro.

The app is a navigation tool that will help you know the traffic condition on a major Metro Manila Roads and High-ways. It covers NLEX to SLEX and everything in between including C5, LRT1, LRT2 and MRT. The app provides you a System, Map or Line view of the major Metro Roads, the traffic conditions are characterize by Light, Light-Moderate, Moderate, Moderate-Heavy, Heavy and No Information.

Drivers and Car owners will benefit most from this app, since they can plan their trip ahead. However these past few days, the MMDA App have been in the news for providing inaccurate traffic information but the issue have already been addressed by MMDA and Giro AppSolutions.

The app was developed by Giro AppSolutions and the traffic data are from the MMDA-TV5 Metro Manila Traffic Navigator. The MMDA App can be downloaded and install on iPod touch, iPhones and iPads. You can download it here.

I can see myself using this app during our vacation, since I’m the driver in the house. So what do you think about the MMDA App? Comment are always welcome.
