Apple just made the iOS 5.0 available via the Automatic update of iTunes 10.5, the iOS 5.0 download is a whopping 707.2 MB file download, so it may take sometime before you can use the new mobile OS. iOS 5.0 was first unveil by Steve Jobs from the last WWDC in San Francisco last June 2011, it will introduce 200 new features like a new Notification, iMessages, NewsStand, Reminders, AirPlay Mirroring, OTA Update, iCloud integration and a new Keyboard UI, not to mention the 1,500 new developer APIs for developers.

After reading the release notes of iOS 5.0, it looks like Siri will be exclusive for iPhone 4S owners, though I’m still hoping that after 5 hours of download, Siri will be available on my iPad.

The iOS 5.0 can be installed if you are owners of iPhones (4, 4S and 3GS), iPads and iPod Touch (3rd and 4th gen), you also need to have the latest itune 10.5 in order for you to download the new version of iOS.
