Apple vs Amazon’s Penny Phones!

Written by | Apple, Gadgets

It looks like an all-out-war between Amazon and Apple from here there on, where “Amazon is hitting Apple where it hurts the most“.

Have you visited the Amazon Wireless site lately? If you do, you’ll notice that Amazon have what they call PENNY PHONE where each phone is sold for a penny with a 2 yr contact from your preferred carrier. As cheap as the penny phone sounds these penny phones are not the old and cheap smartphones, included in the lineup are Samsung Galaxy S II, HTC Inspire, Motorola DROID RAZR, LG Thrill and more, this will be available starting today until next Monday.

Another thing that you will notice while your on Amazon Wireless page, Apple is no where to be found under the “Brand” of phones nor iOS if you checkout the “Operating System” section. Amazon may tell us that it’s a fluke or a negligence on their part but leaving both Apple and iOS at the same time and not forgetting all other brand and OS makes you think what their (AMAZON) real agenda.

It appears that Amazon is adding iPhone to the mix and not just with the Apple iPad (the direct competitor of Kindle Fire). Amazon is expected to sell at least 5 million Kindle Fire by the end of the year and they are being sold for $199, which is half the price of Apple iPad 2.

Is Amazon about to ban Apple products from it’s product listings this holiday season or they’re just going to tell us the usual BS!!! I guess we’ll just have to wait to find out.
