Smart initiates #xpresslove campaign this Christmas season

Leading telco Smart Communications launched “#xpresslove” as a social media campaign that will utilize various online platforms to spread positive vibes in the cyber space. And since it’s Christmas season, the campaign asks everyone on how they can #xpresslove to the world.

Similar to Globe Telecom’s #todayiwill social media campaign, Smart’s #xpresslove utilized Twitter with the hashtag #xpresslove along with a tweet. You can also share your expressions by updating your Facebook status and texting your loved ones.

The #xpresslove’s website compiles all tweets using the hashtag. A video about the campaign is also available.

Smart’s Twitter account (@SmartCares) initiates the campaign and tapped the telco’s leading endorser Ms. Anne Curtis to spread #xpresslove in the social network. The Kapamilya young drama star is also the undisputed most followed Filipino celebrity on Twitter.

And because the social media campaign was initiated by Smart, it is expected that the network’s subscribers will join the trend. Sun Cellular, the third telco in the country and the newest member of the PLDT group of companies, is also expected to contribute to this project.

Though the project will not directly drive profit to the company, #xpresslove is a good way to spread love in the cyber world thus positively marketing the image of the telco in the digital world.
