At last iPhone 4S will now be available in China!

When Apple officially released the iPhone 4S to 20 countries last December 16, 2011, China was noticeably missing from the list. Now it looks like the Apple iPhone 4S will officially arrive in China and 21 other countries on January 13, 2012 (Yes that’s a Friday the 13th).

Not that it’s not yet available in the grey market, our Chinese brethren will now be able to buy the iPhone 4S in all 5 Apple Store in the Country (3 in Shanghai and 2 in Beijing) of course buying an officially released iPhone 4S has its own merit than those bought in the grey market.

In a press release Tim Cook also said.. (full pr below)

“Customer response to our products in China has been off the charts,”… “With the launch in China next week, iPhone 4S will be available in over 90 countries making this our fastest iPhone rollout ever.”

The other countries where iPhone 4S will be available on January 13, 2012 are; Anguilla, Antigua and Barbuda, Bolivia, Botswana, British Virgin Islands, Cameroon, Cayman Islands, Central African Republic, China, Dominica, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, Grenada, Guam, Guinea Conakry, Ivory Coast, Jamaica, Kenya, Madagascar, Mali, Mauritius, Niger, Senegal, St. Vincent and The Grenadines, Trinidad and Tobago, Turks and Caicos and Uganda.

Since iPhone 5 is just around the corner, people mentioned about will be glad that the Siri iPhone 4S will be available in their country and Facetime will not be disabled.

iPhone 4S Arrives in China on January 13

Beginning Friday, January 13, iPhone 4S will be available in Anguilla, Antigua and Barbuda, Bolivia, Botswana, British Virgin Islands, Cameroon, Cayman Islands, Central African Republic, China, Dominica, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, Grenada, Guam, Guinea Conakry, Ivory Coast, Jamaica, Kenya, Madagascar, Mali, Mauritius, Niger, Senegal, St. Vincent and The Grenadines, Trinidad and Tobago, Turks and Caicos and Uganda.

iPhone 4S comes in either black or white for a suggested retail price of $199 (US) for the 16GB model, $299 (US) for the 32GB model and $399 (US) for the new 64GB model.* iPhone 4S is sold through the Apple Online Store, Apple’s retail stores and select Apple Authorized Resellers. iPhone 4 is available for just $99 (US) and iPhone 3GS is available for free with a two year contract from participating carriers.
