Sony Tablet S arriving on KSA shore on January 28, 2012

Just got a word that Sony Tablet S will be available in Saudi Arabia this coming January 28, 2012. Sony officially announced the arrival of this android powered tablet last September at IFA 2011 in Germany. Sony is already accepting pre-sale order and will give early adopter free goodies like cradle, covers and the tablet pouch which the Sony rep told me are limited. It looks like Sony is getting ready for a big marketing push, since I’ve been seeing a lot of materials regarding the Tablet S when I visited a number of malls in Riyadh.

Sony Tablet S is powered by a dual-core NVIDA TEGRA 2 processor, running Android 3.2 (Honeycomb), with a 9.4-inch TruBlack™ touch-screen display, 1 GB RAM, a 5 MP rear camera, VGA Front camera and Pre-installed with games for PlayStation™ Certified devices.

Prices for the Sony Tablet S are for the 16 GB model SR2000.00, while the 32 GB model will be SR2,300. Though 32 GB will be the first to be offered, since 16 GB model are not yet available.

Another thing, they’ll only be selling Wifi-only model and 3G are not yet available so for those who want the 3G connectivity you may still need to wait a bit more.
