Written by | Apple, Gadgets

If you’re trying to save money to buy the next-gen iPad, I would suggest that you save more, since there have have been reports that will have a price increase. From the price-sheet that have been showing up on Chinese microblogging site Sina Weibo, it looks like all 3 model of iPad 3 WiFi model will have an $80 increase from the iPad and iPad 2, while the 3g+wifi will be $70 more expensive than the previous 2 versions of the iPad.

The new (and still) unconfirmed Retina Display for the iPad 3 is said to be the culprit of the said price increase. If you can remember the original price of the iPad and iPad 2 have been the same, even though Apple made have spec changes on the ipad 2. It still remain to be seen if there is indeed a price increase, I guess we’ll just have to wait for Apple’s official announcement on March 7.
