It looks like a lot of people are interested and want to have an early look at the next Windows Operating System. It was just yesterday when the Windows 8 Consumer Preview became publicly available and after 1 day, the Windows 8 Consumer Preview was already downloaded 1 million times.
One day later…one million downloads of the consumer preview

The news came from Microsoft’s Building Windows Twitter account @BuildWindows8 and this is interesting because when Mac OSX (Lion) was release last July 2011, Apple was able to tally 1 million downloads in 1 day, the difference is that Windows 8 Consumer Preview is free, while the Mac OSX (Lion) is not.
It’s also worth noting as to how many of those 1 million downloads where actually installed (and activated?) Windows 8, since I’ve downloaded the Windows 8 Consumer Preview for 5 times now and I still have more than 20 hours before the download is completed. Are you lucky enough to download and install the Windows 8 Consumer Preview? How’s the Metro UI using mouse and keyboard?
