Love numbers and have a knack for statistics?

Chikita released another report saying that 20% of web traffic in the US and Canada are from smartphones and tablets. The 80% is from PC, to further break up the 20%; 14.6% from that is from smartphones and tablets making up 5.6%.

Now this is where it gets interesting (or complicated), it was previously reported by Chikita that “the iPad accounted for 94.64% of all tablet based traffic” and all other platform are fighting on what’s left of the tablet web traffic. Then 72% of the smartphone web traffic is from Apple’s iPhone while the 26% comes from Android devices.

It’s a different story on the PC side, since 85% of that web traffic comes from Windows powered machines and the 13% are from Macs. It looks like more people are shifting to mobile when it comes to surfing the net and the numbers by Chikita is bound to go up and the only question now is what platform will have the larger piece of the pie? I guess, we’ll just have to wait and see.
