University of Visayas partners with SMART for Infoboard Service

University of Visayas (UV), in partnership with Smart Communications signed up for a deal to provide an Infoboard service at the school community that will take effect this coming school year.

Smart’s infoboard, is a web-based communication tool for sending and receiving information within a specified community. It allows the UV administration to use any internet-enabled computer to reach (via SMS) as many as 10,000 students or more, the system can relay important announcements, such as enrollment schedules, cancellation of class and other useful information, such as study tips.

Any student or UV member, where their Smart number is registered to the infoboard, is eligible to all the Inforboard services including receiving school advisories via SMS, sending text feedback, comments and suggestions to the school, pulling out important information like grades, class schedules and exclusive call and text offers.

“The Infoboard will be very beneficial to the UV community, especially during rainy season and unfortunate events when we need to send timely information to members of our community,” shared Atty. Joseph M. Baduel, Vice President for External Affairs of UV.

For the record, there are more than 204 colleges and universities with more than 370 campuses across the country enjoying the infoboard service offered by the network.
