News (or rumors) about a 7 inch iPad have been going around that Apple will introduce a 7″ iPad or what others are calling iPad “Mini” or iPad “Nano” later this year, and that Apple have already negotiated with Asian suppliers for the components.
But if you believe what the late Steve Jobs said during their (Apple) Q4 2010 call earnings that 7″ tablets are DOA, then that will surely rest the case. You can watch (or listen) to the video below and hear what the late Steve Jobs said about 7″ tablets during their call earnings.
But that was almost 3 years ago and with the recent success of Asus, Samsung Galaxy tab, Amazon Kindle Fire, Nexus 7 and up coming 4G LTE BB Playbook, that may not be the case this time, since 7″ tablets are slow but surely eating away Apple lead in the Tablet Market and Google is doing a great job in making Android a great mobile OS for both Smartphone and Tablets as well as media player, and what iOS and Mac OSX will eventually become and Microsoft is trying to do duplicate with Windows 8/Windows Phone 8.
In any case it may not be a smaller iPad but rather a larger iPod touch with an enlarge screen and cellular/4G connectivity. What do you think? Is an 7 inch iPad viable and is it a buy for you or not?
