For the information of everyone, October 26 will be a regular holiday in the Philippines due to the newly approved proclamation no. 488, declaring the said date a regular holiday in observance of “Eidul Adha” or Feast of the Sacrifice.
The Official Gazette refreshed its list of nationwide holidays and special non working days in the country wherein it already included the above mentioned proclamation.

October 26, 2012, Friday – Eidul Adha (regular holiday by virtue of Proclamation No. 488, s. 2012)
November 1, Thursday – All Saints Day (special non working day)
November 2, Friday – (Additional special non working day)
November 30, Friday – Bonifacio Day (regular holiday)
December 24, Monday – (special non working day by virtue of Proclamation 361, s. 2012)
December 25, Tuesday – Christmas Day (regular holiday)
December 30, Sunday – Rizal Day (regular holiday)
December 31, Monday – Last Day of the Year (special non working day)
Eidhul Adha also known as Feast of the Sacrifice or Greater Eid is one of the two greatest feast of Islam originated from Saudi Arabia and is celebrated by Muslims worldwide.
National Commission on Muslim Filipinos (NCMF) recommended the observance of the said celebration.
