Christmas season is on its way and is already fast approaching! The countdown to Christmas Day celebration has already began and there’s only less than two months before we officially celebrate the occasion. I could guess, some of us are already thinking of what to buy, most probably gifts for loved ones, or something that we want to have after a year of hard work and before pledging another new year’s resolutions.
For many of us know, this season is also the time where people used to spend a lot of money. I can already anticipate the people going to malls for a shopping spree and other places where they can get the most out of their budget while some would just prefer to sit down in front of their computer and shop online! Gifts shopping is of course part of the celebration as it has become part of the Philippine tradition to share each others blessings especially with our loved ones and even to some less fortunate.
The issue about shopping, especially in this time of the year is that it can be very fun but also stressful. You get to meld with the crowd around the mall and tend to bring a lot of stuff as you shop. Worst is that if you have kids with you, you almost can’t concentrate on things you have to buy–I know that feeling because I have quite seen a circumstance like that.
I won’t be surprised if some would really just go online shopping for gifts. Nowadays, we have a lot of choices when it comes to buying online. We have Sulit.com.ph or AyosDito.ph and Ebay where you can find great deals. You may also consider checking out new and fast-rising shops like Lazada and Ensogo. GreenMarket.ph which brings you the Greenhills shopping center right on your desktop also offers great and even bargain products!
Of course, shopping online also requires virtual money! Thanks if those shops offer cash on delivery system but if not, the best option to have is to buy using virtual currency. For those online shoppers who are using Paypal service like me, there are bits of reasons to be happy with using it because they have offered ways to get the most of Paypal services, and using your Paypal money wisely.
Note: I’ll be using the above mentioned buy-and-sell shops as an example only. I cannot guarantee that the Paypal’s services really applies to them.
1. Get the Best Deal With Paypal Price-Matching
If you purchased an item on Ebay and seen the same item on Ensogo at a lower price, you can reimburse the difference within 30 days of purchase using Paypal’s Price Matching offer. It doesn’t matter if you purchased the item either online or in store. As it said, “even airline tickets from the same carrier that drop in price within seven days of your purchase are eligible for price match!” The offer is limited of up to $1,000 maximum throughout the promotional period and $250 per eligible item. Some restrictions, of course, applies.
2. Use Paypal Complimentary Shipping
If ever you change your mind after purchasing a product from a merchant on Ebay and decided to return it back but the merchant doesn’t offer return shipping, you may avail of Paypal’s Complimentary Shipping to return the item and get your money back. You just need to apply for it and wait the for Paypal to send to you a pre-paid shipping label (within five days after filing your claim) or wait for the refund of the return shipping cost directly to your PayPal account. This offer is limited to up to $100 maximum within the promotional period and $25 per eligible item. Again, some restrictions apply!
3. Buy now, Bill Me Later!
In case you need to purchase an item costing at least $99 or higher but you’re already out of budget, avail Paypal’s Bill Me Later promo! You’ll get a 6-month special financing subject to credit approval for your purchase.
Well, as the budget comes to the topic, it is a must that we become practical on spending every little cent of it! We need to be merry for Christmas but we also need to be prosperous on New Year and afterwards! Spending a lot this whole month alone and not allotting a budget for next year won’t make us reach that goal. So think about of using you’re paypal money this holiday season and go shopping more for less!
