Just a few hours after the US National Election ended, Barack Obama (@BarackObama) tweeted3 words with an attached photo of him hugging his wife, Michelle Obama. Surprisingly, it has become the most re-tweeted and popular tweet of all time.
It only took 22 minutes to steal the achievement from its current holder, Justin Bieber who tweeted about Avalanna’s death dated September 27, 2012 which was re-tweeted 223,379 times.
Obama’s tweet which is currently re-tweeted 378,602 and counting is indeed way too far from JB’s. But more than that, it proves that the Presidential election in the US is one of the most watched election on the micro blogging site. It may also prove that more people is indeed counting to Obama to further continue his leadership in the republic country.
Meanwhile, if ever you’re wondering how does the election turns out this year, Huffingtonpost reported a detailed tallied votes from 53 participating states. Generally, Obama scored 303 electoral votes stealing 64 votes from Romney to win the national election. The election is actually tight considering the fact that Obama did dominate in 26 states while Romney got the majority in 23 others while they tied in 4 remaining states.
A huge number of voters–that includes some Filipino-Americans participated this year. Exact number that reflected is 113,329,843 voters. Obama secured 50 percent of this number while Romney got the 48.4 percent.
