Google officially opens Philippines Office

Last year, Google finally hired a General Manager and it’s just a matter of time before they officially setup shop in the Philippines and today, in a traditional pot breaking ceremony, Google Philippine Office open its office in Alabang, this will be Google’s 5th office in the Southeast Asian region.

Headed by General Manager Narciso Reyes, who is also a Sr. Account Director in Google Singapore since 2008 said “We’re excited to be deepening our investment in the Philippines with the opening of our office here in Manila. Our local team will be committed to providing better services to our Filipino users and to helping businesses – large and small – grow locally and globally, contributing to the growth of the local economy.”

Present in the event were Managing Director of Google in Southeast Asia Julian Persaud and Government Undersecretary Manuel L. Quezon III. Persaud said about Google’s investment in PH: “We’re here for the long term.”, while Government Undersecretary Manuel L. Quezon III said “We are delighted that Google has decided to set up an office in Manila,”…”Their presence is a testament to their commitment to the Philippines. We hope that Google’s entry will encourage more local businesses to go online and tap into international markets.”


Together with their Philippine Office, Google Philippines also created their official twitter account @googleph and will soon posts a number of job opening at and if you want to pay them a visit about anything or apply for a job, you can Google Philippines is at Unit 308, Building B, The Plaza @ Northgate Cyberzone, FilInvest Corporate City, Alabang. Hopefully Google’s presence in the country will stir things up in the Philippine economy and not just local tech scene.
