HTC announces HTC One with UltraPixel Camera

HTC just announced the successor to its flagship smartphone HTC One X – the HTC One. The announcement was made in a simultaneous event in New York and UK.

HTC One is not your usual update the specs and price product but rather HTC is introducing a number of new features and service with the HTC One; a new aluminum unibody design; HTC UltraPixel Camera with HTC Zoe, HTC BoomSounds, HTC Sense TV and the HTC BlinkFeed.

Of all the new specs, the HTC UltraPixel Camera and the BoomSounds that piqued my interest since they’re the first phone maker to incorporate a custom camera that uses a f/2.0 aperture lens and a sensor with UltraPixels that can capture 300 percent more light than traditional smartphone camera sensors. Then there’s the HTC BoomSounds that the company is boasting to be the first phone to have a front-facing stereo speakers with a dedicated amplifier.

Whether these new specs and service will translate to more sales still remains to be seen. HTC left-out the info for the price but mentioned that it will be available globally by March 2013. You can HTC full PR here.
