Apple issued iOS Update 6.1.3 for the Lock Screen Security Hole

Apple just release the iOS update 6.1.3 to plug the security hole at the lock screen that allows user to access and use the phone without providing the passcode. Users will be able to bypass the screen lock, access and modify certain files as well as make phone calls, listen to voice mail, and view contact photos.


The update will also improve the Apple Maps in Japan and will restore any jailbroken iOS device using the EvasiOn jailbreak tool and prevent it from being jailbreak again when using the same method. Apple even credited evad3rs team (the team behind the EvasiOn jailbreak tool) for uncovering 4 of the security holes found in iOS 6.X.X and at the same time patched by the 6.1.3 update.

To update your iOS, you should be able to see a notification on the Software Update Section of your idevice, if not then just go to SETTINGS > GENERAL > SOFTWARE UPDATE the just wait for the message to update your device. Additional details about the update can be read here.
