At Facebook’s Media Event, CEO Mark Z. and Co. unveil the newly revamped and redesigned Newsfeed, that aims to decluter and focus more on the content that your friends are sharing and encourage more engagement.
The new Newsfeed will now be organize and grouped according to;
– All Friends – a feed that shows you everything your friends are sharing
– Photos – a feed with nothing but photos from your friends and the Pages you like
– Music – a feed with posts about the music you listen to
– Following – a feed with the latest news from the Pages you like and the people you follow.
In the event Facebook co-founder and CEO Mark Zuckerberg said “The news feed is one of the most important things we’ve built, the most personalized newspaper,…the stories around you deserve to be displayed with more than just text.”
The redesigned Newsfeed will also feature larger and brighter photos, as well as consistent design wherever you access your FB account be it on the web, smartphone or tablet. Which means you’ll have the same feel and experience whatever device you use. The new NewsFeeds will first take effect via web in the coming weeks, to be followed on Mobile.
