Written by | Careers, Internet, Philippines

Good news for PAL Patrons, Flag Carrier Philippine Airlines (PAL) will be offering Wi-Fi (wireless fidelity) by mid-year that will allow passengers to make call and surf the Internet while in the air. The statement was made yesterday by the company and they will partner with OnAir who will provide the in-flight WiFi service.

PAL President and Chief Operating Officer Ramon S. Ang said in the statement…

“As the country’s leading airline, we must enable our passengers to stay in touch during flights. Connectivity is an absolute requirement for today’s travelers… it’s important for us and our customers to have a service that is global, of high quality, and flexible enough to suit the needs of all passengers.”

The in-flight Wifi service will be launched “by mid-year” and “will be available on flights traveling on PAL’s Airbus A330-343s and Boeing 777-300ERs.” If you can remember OnAir is the same company that that will also provide the in-flight WiFi service to CebuPacific, this was announced last year.

Mental Note… next flight to the Philippines book PAL! 🙂
