Youtube is about to cross another milestone, actually it’s Psy’s “Gangnam Style” will be doing that for Youtube, since the music video of K-pop sensation is about to cross the 2 billion views. The video crossed the 1 billion views threshold early last year, becoming the most viewed video on Youtube in just two years and became the “Most Liked Video” in Youtube history.

Interests for the Psy’s music video peaked on January 2013, where is was viewed more than 15 million times in just one day. Currently the video is being watched by 1 to 2 million viewers per day and if that trends continues, it should cross the 2 billionth mark this weekend or the earliest would be later today.

Trailing at 2nd place is Justin Bieber’s “Baby,” with just over 1 billion views, which means that two of the most viewed video on Youtube are both about music/ or music videos. So it’s not surprising that Youtube is planning to launch their own music streaming service, since the site is an important factor for a musician or band to become successful, and in turn the site to be successful, and a music streaming service is a no brainer for Youtube/Google.
