Apple’s Keynote at Black Hat 2016 US

Just about to finish the 51 minutes presentation of Apple at this year’s Black Hat Hacker’s conference. This is the first time that Apple has participated in the hacker conference and the announcement of their first bounty hunter program is very interesting all by itself.

The bounty program which could earn an invited invited researchers/security specialist/bounty hunter up to $200K of bug bounties, is the first for Apple and appears to be soliciting the help of outside security firm to find and report vulnerabilities in certain Apple software, most notably in iOS Devices.

The keynote speaker is Ivan Krstic, Apple’s Head of Security Engineering and Architecture. The Black Hat 2016 US was held in Las Vegas last July 30 – Aug 4.
