Facebook just announced the launching of Live 360 video, a live streaming video in 360-degree format.

As great as the new feature is, the Live 360 video on Facebook will be first available on the National Geographic Facebook page today, from there you will be able to watch live streams from the Mars Desert Research Station facility in Utah.

Live 360 video will be available to more Pages via the Live API in the coming months, and the social media giant will roll out the feature to all Pages and Profiles in 2017.
