George Michael dies at the age of 53

George Michael, the eccentric half of the duo Wham! and solo artist has died at the age of 53, in his UK home. This publicist and family confirmed the report and are asking for privacy at the time.

George Michael is best known as the other half of the duo Wham!, a band that he form with Andrew Ridgeley in 1981. Wham! is known for their hit song “Wake Me Up Before You Go-Go” and “Careless Whisper”.

After splitting with Andrew Ridgeley in 1986, George Michael launched his solo career in early 1987, is debut solo album, Faith, that won several awards including the Grammy Award for Album of the Year in 1989, is considered as one of Rolling Stone’s “500 Greatest Albums of All Time”.
