Lego’s Boost platform will teach kids about robotics and programming

Lego just announced their Boost Platform, a lego kit that includes battery-powered system that includes motors, color and motion sensor, that aims to teach kids 7 years old (and above) about robotics and programming.

Lego Boost Creative Toolbox includes all the things that you need in order to complete five projects; Vernie the Robot—a moving and talking robot; the M.T.R.4 (Multi-Tooled Rover 4), versatile rover with 4 different tool attachments including a spring-loaded shooter; the Guitar4000—a musical instrument with pitch bend and sound effects; Frankie the Cat—an interactive pet; and AutoBuilder, an automated production line that really builds small LEGO models. Boost also includes free tablet app that will help and teach how to complete each project.

Lego will release the Boost Creative Toolbox this August 2017. I’m really excited for this to be available since it’s the perfect gift for my son who considers himself as a Master Builder.
