Pacific Rim: Uprising is happening and stars of the movie are posting about it

I cannot blame you if you thought that Pacific Rim 2 is not happening, since the ending of the original movie did not provide any hint of a sequel. However, after photos of the clapboard and scripts found their way online, I can’t help but be excited since Pacific Rim is one of the first successful Mech movie.

Now stars of the sequel are posting photos while on set while with other casts.

Now we know that “Pacific Rim: Maelstrom” was only a working title.

Then there’s Scott Eastwood, one of the new protagonist of the movies, following the departure of Charlie Hunnam, who played Raleigh Becket. Scott Eastwood will a new Jaeger pilot named Nate Lambert.

Another addition to the cast, John Boyega, who will be playing Jake Pentecost, the son of Idris Elba’s character Stacker Pentecost from the first film. He tweets this photo of what appears to be a promotional material of the movie.

Scheduled to be released on February 23, 2018, by Universal Pictures. Pacific Rim: Uprising will star John Boyega, Scott Eastwood, Cailee Spaeny and Jing Tian, together with Rinko Kikuchi, Charlie Day, and Burn Gorman reprising their roles from the original film.
