Uber Philippines receive criticism for tweeting free ride on the eve of the National Transport Strike

Written by | Featured, National, Social Media

It’s like JFK/NY #DeleteUber once again, as Uber Philippines tweets a free ride promotion on the eve of a nationwide transport strike.

Uber Ph has since deleted the tweet but quick thinking users were able to get a screenshot;

In the tweet, Uber Ph said, “Are you affected by the activities tomorrow? Don’t worry, new Uber users can get 2 free trips worth PHP500 each. Valid only on Feb 27.”

Twitter users are quick to point at Uber’s fault and have not been shy to give the ride-sharing company a piece of their mind.

Not all of twitter are mad at Uber Ph, there are those who supports and are greatful for the free ride.

Uber has since apologize for the confusion regarding the tweet.

I can understand that Uber’s intention is to help those who are going to be stranded and affected by the transport strike but their execution is way off the mark.
