Southeast Asia’s top ride-sharing service, Grab has introduced a new service called Grab Shuttle. GrabShuttle is a new service that allows passengers to pre-book a bus seat from a list of fixed routes.

Available vehicles will be a 13 seater, 23 seater and a bus that can take at least 40 passenger. Fares are dependent on the route chosen, but are fixed regardless of distance travelled. Fares will range from $3.50 – $5, with no additional surcharges. Riders can check the exact fare within the Grab Shuttle app.

This is how Grab Shuttle works; Book a ride through the GrabShuttle app. You can select your route on the screen, then book a guaranteed seat on an express bus or shuttle to a drop-off point near your destination. Just arrive at the pick-up point 5 minutes in advance, since there will be no refunds if you missed your bus or if you’re no-show.

Grab Shuttle also uses something they call Crowdstart routes, it uses an algorithm that actives new routes when the required number of people pre-order the route pass. There are a limited number of available routes in the app and users can suggest a route by submitting it using the form at

GrabShuttle app is available to both iOS and Android.
