In a live streamed event earlier, Activision and game developer Sledgehammer Games officially announced the Call of Duty: WWII. From its trailer (embedded below) and press photos, it looks like Activision is going back in time and will return to its original WWII setting, mainly in Europe between 1944 and 1945.

Call of Duty: WWII, the successor to last year’s sci-fi- themed Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare, will be available on on November 3, 2017 on PC, Xbox One and PS4. Early access to the game’s private beta will be available to all those who preorder the game at http://www.callofduty.com/WWII.
