Android O now available for public beta

After announcing the developer preview of Android 8.0 or Android O, two months ago, Google’s mobile OS is now available for public beta, the public beta is the Android O Developer Preview 2.

Notable features of the Android O are;

  • Battery life
  • Security
  • Startup time
  • Stability

Here’s a 30 minutes video on what’s new with Android;

User with Nexus 5X, 6P, and Player, as well as Pixel, Pixel XL, or Pixel C can download and run Android O Developer Preview 2, by joining the Beta Program at android.com/beta.

Google is expected to release the full version of Android O and probably a new Pixel smartphone this fall.
