Since launching 8 years ago, Kickstarter became synonymous to the term crowdfunding and after 13 million people have backed a project, $3 billion in pledges, and more than 124,905 funded projects, the company has announced that they’ll launch the service in Japan later this year.
Unofficially, Japanese can support, fund and post their own projects by partnering to a person or organization in one of Kickstarter’s 21 available markets. This announcement means that anyone or group can now post their project on Kickstarter.
