In a media event in London, Nokia together with their hardware manufacturer partner HMD Global, officially announce the next flagship Android phone, the Nokia 8.
Nokia 8 is a 5.3-inch phone with Zeiss-branded camera. Equipped with three 13-megapixel Zeiss camera; two cameras are used by the rear or main camera and the exact same 13-megapixel Zeiss camera is also used for the front-facing camera, with its new dual-sight mode, Nokia 8 users can use both front and back cameras simultaneously to broadcast live on Facebook and YouTube. Its 5.3-inch display will be protected by Corning’s Gorilla Glass 5, 2.5D Glass.

The phone is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 835, running Android “Nougat” 7, which is upgradable to Android “O”, once its release by Google. Other notable hardware of the phone is its RAM and internal storage, up to 6 GB and up to 128 GB, respectively. The storage is expandable up to 256 GB using the microSD slot. Nokia 8 will have a non-removable 3090 mAh battery.
Nokia 8 will be available in Polished Blue, Tempered Blue, Steel, Polished Copper, and plan to launch the new smartphone globally this September, it will have a starting price of EUR 599 or around $705.
