In the hopes of stealing some of Apple’s thunder, Xiaomi official announce Mi Mix 2, the new flagship smartphone.
Sporting a bezel-less screen, the Mi Mix 2 features a 5.99-inch display with a 18:9 screen body ratio, and a 12% smaller chin compared to its 1st generation Mi Mix.
Mi mix 2 will have a slim aluminum frame, four-sided ceramic body and an 18K gold-plated camera rim. As beautiful as its body and display, Mi Mix 2 will feature a 12MP rear camera with Sony IMX386 sensor, and 4-axis OIS. It will powered by Qualcomm’s Snadragon 835 with a 6GB RAM on a three storage configurations (64GB/128GB/256GB), it will also support global LTE with 6 modes and 43 bands.

Mi Mix 2 will be available in China this weekend, with the following price per configuations;
- CNY3,299 : 6GB RAM/ 64GB internal storage
- CNY3,599 : 6GB RAM/ 128GB internal storage
- CNY3,999 : 6GB RAM/ 256GB internal storage
Aside from sharing a number of components to the regular Mi Mix 2, the special edition will have a full ceramic body, whopping 8GB RAM, 128GB of internal storage and powered by Qualcomm’s Snadragon 835 processor.
Mi Mix 2 Special Edition is also designed by world-renowned industrial designer Philippe Starck, who also designed the original Mi Mix. Mi Mix 2 Special edition will be in both white and black colors (see images below), and available this November with a retail price of CNY4,699.
