Apple just rolled-out the iOS 11.0.2 update for the reported “crackling” sounds that iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus hear when making phone calls.

Apple was straight forward with the release note of the update and specifically said that the update will “fix an issue where crackling sounds may occur during calls using iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus.” Aside from the crackling sounds, it will also fix the issue that causes photos on iOS 11 to become hidden and unviewable, as well as the issue that file attachments on encrypted email won’t open.

Apple is quick to address the crackling sounds on iPhone 8s, which was reported and confirmed by Apple just last week.

To get the update, just go to SETTINGS > GENERAL > SOFTWARE UPDATE.
