Ginebra Guard JayJay Helterbrand announced his retirement last Monday, and no one will be more affected than Mark Caguioa, the other half of “The Fast and The Furious”, posted a heartfelt good bye on his instagram account.
Ok…How do i start this… Man is this real life? Lol So this is it huh? Your gonna leave me just like that? After 17 years @jayhelterbrand i wanna thank you for being my bestfriend my brother and my mentor on and off the court. You are not only a point guard on the court but in life as well , A follower of God. I wanna thank the fans that supported him through out his career alam ko hindi kayo mawawala lahat tayo nalulungkot pero seryoso parang me namatay ang feeling ko lol. I wanna thank all my teammates that promised him that they will give him a championship before he retires. Of course Ginebra fans also chimed regarding the departure of Helterbrand to the most popular team in the PBA.

The 17 year career of JayJay Helterbrand in the PBA are all with the Brgy Ginebra and recipient of various awards and commendation; six-time PBA champion, PBA Finals MVP, Most Valuable Player, two-time Best Player of the Conference, a seven-time All-Star, two-time All-Star Game MVP, two-time PBA Mythical First Team, Mr. Quality Minutes and Comeback Player of the Year, he is also the MVP of Brunei Sultan Cup 2005.
