GoPro officially announced HERO6 Black and Fusion

After being leaked a couple of weeks ago, GoPro HERO6 Black and GoPro Fusion are now official.

GoPro HERO6 Black will be the successor of HERO5 and will now be using its own custom chip called GP1 processor, it will support 4K at 60fps and 1080p @240fps video. HERO6 will still be shooting 1080p video @240fps slow motion video, which is 10x slower than real time.

HERO6 has improved dynamic range, low-light performance and has the most advanced video stabilization that is known for GoPro cameras. GoPro Hero 6 will retail at $499.99 (around Php25,000) and is now available on and select retailers worldwide.

Another camera that GoPro announced is the new Fusion camera, capable of capturing spherical video that can be use for VR and non-VR video, and also photos. The new camera can record 5.2K30 video and photos in full spherical.

GoPro Fusion is now available for pre-order on for USA, Canada, United Kingdom and the European Union, shipping in November. Fusion will retail for $699.99 or around Php35,600.00.
